Try a Dive with Kilkee Sub Aqua Club < BackEvent Over
Have you ever wanted to learn to scuba dive? Kilkee Subaqua Club is offering you the opportunity to try a dive.
The club trains in the pool during the off season to stay fit while members also use the opportunity to practice key skills to ensure that all divers are fully equipped for the following season.
Between November and March the club conducts its training programme for new members at the pool in Shannon Leisure Centre. Trained members engage in swimming activities and practice essential water skills.
During this November the club will offer free “try a dive” activities these are open to the public.
If you are 16 or over and you can swim then why not take this opportunity to try something new, I think everyone has thought about learning to scuba dive at some stage in their life, why not take that step right now.
Kilkee Sub Aqua club was founded in 1982 to promote scuba diving in the West Clare area. The club has 30 plus members and is a member club of CFT – Comhairle Fó Thuinn (The Irish Underwater Council) – the regulatory body for sports diving in Ireland with about 80 member clubs both North and South.
The club engages in specialist training courses with other clubs, provides a platform for dive outings for members and visiting divers during the season and also operates its own Search & Recovery unit and the other emergency services when required. The club operates on a voluntary non-profit-making basis. The club has its own clubhouse, based in Kilkee, and a Ribcraft 6.8 rigid inflatable boat (RIB).
