Join us on a material journey from earth to pot, exploring the geological history of Co. Clare and the transformation of earth materials into fired ceramics with a geological twist.

Join UCD artist in residence Elaine Harrington and researchers from the Irish Centre for Research in Applied Geosciences on a material journey from earth to pot, exploring our environment and how we think about and make objects. Participants will learn about the geological history of Co. Clare and its fossils, as well as the transformation of earth materials from the native sources around us into fired ceramics, and will get to to make their own pot or tile with trace fossils. (25 people max.)

This event has been organised as part of National Heritage Week 2019.
