Racing in Irish seaside resort

What’s on

Loop Head celebrates and honours its wide-ranging cultural heritage throughout the year. Look out for popular events such as the Crotty Galvin traditional music festival at Moyasta and the Che do Bheatha festival, commemorating Che Guevara’s visit to Kilkee, as well as regular currach regattas, vintage shows and family festivals all over the peninsula.

Happily, good food is a part of almost every festival and gathering on Loop Head. But for dedicated gastronomes, there are food-centred events too, kicking off with the Carrigaholt Oyster Festival in May, taking in the Taste the Loop festival in June, and ending with the Seafood in September event at the end of summer.
